Share the Wedding Planning Responsibilities
So you’ve decided to plan your own wedding. Now you are faced with the task of making sure everything is timed out perfectly so that your wedding day goes as you planned and you won’t be faced with last minute decisions on your big day.
You may be overwhelmed by the amount of work that a wedding takes to plan. You can always share the responsibilities with willing family and friends and you can even get you future husband involved. He might enjoy doing part of the planning, after all, it is his wedding too. You can always give him the task of finding and hiring a limo service to get you to the wedding reception safely and in style. You can also involve him with the process that it takes to find the perfect caterer. You will want him to taste test the food along with you and a few other unbiased friends.
If your mother is crafty, and wants to get involved, why not ask her to take care of ordering the flowers for the wedding and possibly preparing the tables for the reception. She will enjoy the fact that you have asked her to join in on planning your wedding.
Give your maid of honor the task of making sure that the details for the wedding rehearsal are all taken care of. Don’t forget to have her purchase gifts for all of your wedding party for you to give them out on the night of the rehearsal dinner. It’s the little things that we tend to overlook when planning a wedding so go ahead and delegate this task to your most trusted friend so that no one will feel left out as you are passing out your tokens of appreciation for these people to be in your wedding.
You will find that it is much easier on you to delegate many of your responsibilities to people who are willing to help you with planning your wedding. The stress of having it all to do yourself will slowly fade away as you see the progression of where you are at and what all your helper’s have completed thus far. Hold regular meetings with the people you have assigned to do these tasks to make sure they are on schedule with everything else that is going on with your wedding plans.
